Citizen HSC Hubs – June 2022

19th May 2022

What are Citizen HSC Hubs?

Our Citizen Health and Social Care (HSC) Hubs are a chance for us, the Patient and Client Council to connect with you, the general public on a range of topics relating to the health and social care system in Northern Ireland. Similar to the Coffee Connection events we have hosted in the past, we want our Hubs to become a place where we can provide you with an update on the projects we are currently working on, have a relevant topic for discussion and show you where to find the latest opportunities to get more involved with Health and Social Care.

This month’s theme is General Medical Council (GMC) Good medical practice Consultation

Good medical practice sets out the standards of patient care and the professional behaviours expected from every doctor working in the UK. All doctors practicing in the UK are required to register with the General Medical Council (GMC), and agree to follow the standards set out in Good medical practice throughout their careers.

The General Medical Council wants to make sure that Good medical practice guidance continues to reflect what patients need from their doctors, and what doctors need from each other, to provide the best possible care. The GMC are running a public consultation on an updated draft of the guidance, which gives members of the public a chance to influence its content.

Come along to one of our upcoming virtual Hubs to hear about the General Medical Council (GMC) Good medical practice Consultation.
