Due to the closure and migration of the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) to a new entity within the Department of Health, many statutory provisions around commissioning will be removed, and this has provided an opportunity to fundamentally change the way in which services are planned, managed and delivered for the people of Northern Ireland. The next step is developing a Strategic Outcome Framework. These outcomes will be the driving force for planning management and delivery of services at all levels.
The development of a Strategic Outcomes Framework will enable the provision of the strategic direction to the system. It will take the form of a suite of high-level, wide ranging outcomes and accompanying indicators, and developing those strategic outcomes is the next step.
The design and development of those outcomes will necessitate the understanding of people’s health and wellbeing needs and priorities, and this is where this engagement programme fits.
This is your opportunity to design and develop these outcomes. The upcoming engagement sessions aim to capture and understand your needs and priorities through feedback, expression of concerns and lived experience. The Patient and Client Council invites you to one of the following sessions to highlight your priorities:
- Wednesday 17th November 2021, 2:00pm to 4:00pm
- Thursday 18th November 2021, 6:30pm to 8:30pm
- Friday 19th November 2021, 10:00am to 12:00pm
