An update on Integrated Care System NI

3rd February 2023

The Department of Health is currently designing and implementing a new Integrated Care System for Northern Ireland – ICS NI. This system signals a new way of planning, managing and delivering our health and social care services based on the specific needs of the population. ICS NI will bring many partners together, reaching out beyond traditional boundaries and harnessing the strengths in our existing partnerships.

The Patient and Client Council has previously hosted a series of interactive workshops, in November 2021, which provided an invaluable engagement opportunity. At that stage, the discussion was centered around ‘what matters most’ to you and those you love, in terms of health and wellbeing needs, and participants contributed to the formulation of a suite of strategic outcome statements.

Engagement event

The PCC are facilitating a further group engagement session which will take place remotely via Zoom, on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at 2pm-3pm to update participants on progress to date and asking their views on a series of potential measures to support those strategic outcomes.
