PCC at NI Health Collective’s first anniversary event

This week marked the first anniversary of the Northern Ireland Health Collective (NIHC), celebrated at Hillsborough Castle with leaders from across the VCSE sector, statutory partners and the Health Minister.
The PCC was pleased to attend the event, with our Chief Executive, Meadhbha, speaking about the importance of embedding the People to Partners approach.
She highlighted how lived experience can shape policy, reform and service delivery, and the need to move from systems that ‘do to’ people, towards approaches that ‘do with’.
NIHC brings together 19 networks representing more than 1,500 organisations across Northern Ireland. At a time of ongoing pressure, the event reinforced the value of collaboration, trust and lived experience in shaping health and social care reform.
