Care of Older People Engagement Platform
PCC are involved in partnership work with a number of other stakeholder organisations in matters concerning the care of older people.
The Care of Older People Engagement Platform has evolved from a Care Homes Engagement Platform that existed throughout the pandemic, where the focus centred on visitation pathways.
The Care of Older People Engagement Platform recruited new members in Winter 2023, to act as a reference group for any ongoing partnership and engagement work within the Department of Health, SPPG, PHA, RQIA or indeed the Trusts that will impact on older people.
Key highlights
- Influencing the Visiting Guidance Pathway
- Informing guidance and implementation of Care Partners
- Advocating on issues preventing access to care homes, quality treatment and care and the wellbeing of residents.
