PHA Involvement Opportunity: Mental Health Promotion, Early Intervention and Prevention – The Role of Digital Technologies

The Public Health Agency invites you to join an online session (via MS Teams) on Tuesday 30th April 2024 10.30am – 11.30am to discuss the role of Digital technologies in Mental Health Promotion, Early Intervention and Prevention.

Digital technologies is a broad term that can include, for example; websites, videos and podcasts, applications and tools (eg: instant chat, guided self-help, virtual therapy), social media, chat-bots, wearables for sleep and mood tracking, augmented and virtual reality.

As part of the work to implement the Mental Health Strategy the PHA wants to get views from citizens and people with lived experience about
– Your experience of digital technologies to support mental wellbeing
– Your views about the benefits and the drawbacks of digital technologies for mental wellbeing
– Your ideas for the future with regard to digital technologies for mental wellbeing and for supports at the early stages of mental ill health

If you would be available and willing to join this discussion session please email Sinead.Malone@hscni.net by Friday 26th of April 2024.

The key messages from this discussion will inform the PHA’s approach to developing digital technologies in this area.
