If you have been a carer or a family member of an older person and supported them in the discharge process, researchers from the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast would like to invite you to take part in a study. This study is about developing a resource to promote shared decision making in planning discharge from hospital, for older people living with frailty.
In this project, the Researchers from Queen’s University will work with patients, their relatives, and health professionals to develop a resource to help older people living with frailty be fully involved in planning for their discharge from hospital. They are looking to invite you to be part of a focus group with older people who have been discharged from hospital and their carers/relatives to talk about your experience of the decision-making process when an older person is being discharged from hospital. The information obtained will be kept confidential. It will help healthcare professionals to enhance discharge planning with older people, living with frailty, and their relatives/carers. More information can be found in the document below.
