Opportunity to Join Dementia Service User & Carer Involvement Group
What is the role of the involvement group?
The group will inform and influence decision making of the Regional Dementia Project Board and its working groups.
The group will represent people with dementia and carers by sharing their opinions, based on their own experience.
What is the Regional Dementia Project Board?
The Board is working to improve dementia care. They are currently focusing on:
- Getting a timely and accurate diagnosis of dementia.
- Making sure the right support and services are available.
- Dementia education and training.
How will being a member of the group make a difference?
You will represent individuals with dementia and carers by sharing your experience. This will help shape regional plans to improve dementia services and supports.
What is involved?
Meetings: Every 6 weeks, and will last a maximum of 60 minutes.
Where: Meetings will usually be online (help is available to get set up if needed).
Extra opportunities: You might also be invited to join other groups or meetings as the project grows.
You will be supported to take part and feel comfortable in the group.
